I’m Mateo, a graphic designer (and photographer) based in Brooklyn, New York. I work in branding, print and publication design, with a particular interest in arts and culture.

At NYU Gallatin, I studied how design can move past assumptions and adapt to different people and environments. I start each project by getting to understand who it’s for, through research or conversation, so the result fits the people using it instead of my guesses about them. I care about making work that feels thoughtful and truly connects with those who experience it.
